PTV visited the Democracy Village, an encampment outside the House of Parliament that has been there since May Day. The protesters form a Rainbow Alliance of ideals. They come from different countries and support different and diverse causes such as protecting our climate, the environment, civil liberties, electoral reform and getting our troops home. One of their spokespeople Phoenix explained to us, that the Government had banned protests within one mile of Parliament, which was why they were a "Discussion Forum" and not a protest! The Government is still trying to find a legal way to evict them. This is why they are asking you for funds to keep their camp, and campaign going. We hear from one of the lovely protestors called Raga and speak to two young guys Sam and Simon, who have military backgrounds, one and ex-soldier.
